Panelology is a weekly podcast about comics. We talk about current books, what we're looking forward to, and how to get into reading comics in the first place.

The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl: Like I’m the Only Squirrel in the World (Marvel Comics, 2015; #12-16)

  • Doreen, Nancy, and Tippy-Toe decide to take a relaxing vacation at Doreen’s mother’s rental cabin and spend five issues just chilling and fishing because that’s how comics work.
  • Or, an army of tiny clones takes over the world through what sounds like a much more successful version of Secret Invasion and the trio teams up with Brain Drain and a kidnapped Ant-Man (Scott Lang-flavored) to save the day.
  • And then, Nancy’s cat Mew and Hawkeye’s dog Lucky team up to stop Taskmaster*.
  • After that, Doreen’s celebrates her birthday through time!  And with the Hulk  (Bruce Banner-flavored)!

This continues to be a fun, funny superhero romp full of clever quips and expressive art.  Ride the Squirrel Train. CHRRT CHRRT!
